Paul Mallard - Wednesday 21 July - Keswick Convention 2021

Paul Mallard leads the Bible Reading from Philippians 2:1-30. Paul wrote the letter to the Philippians while he was in lockdown – imprisoned in Rome and awaiting trial before Nero. Yet his letter brims over with gratitude as he rejoices in the abundant blessings poured into his life by a faithful God. Jesus – a faithful Saviour – Philippians 2:1-30 Even this church had its problems – there was evidence of division and disunity. Paul’s lifts their eyes to Christ, the faithful Saviour, who poured out his life in humble service. To support his argument Paul describes two gospel heroes. Do we yearn for unity? Do we hunger for holiness? Do we long to shine like stars in this dark world?
