The Good News

What is the Good news?

EUANGELION (εὐαγγέλιον) is the Greek word for the Gospel, literal meaning the Good news.

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ, the son of the Holy God -Mark 1: 1-3- came to earth and died on the cross and was raised again on the third day -Luke 24:7- so that all that may believe will not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16-

All men’s heart is evil continually -Jeremiah 17:9- and we all deserve the righteous judgment from God, and it is only by his Loving grace He does not strike us down for our sin.

For the wages of sin is death -Romans 6:23- and eternal punishment away from the presence of God
-2 Thessalonians 1:9- for if your name is not written in the book of life you will be condemned to the eternal lake of fire -Revelation 20:15-

Adam was the first man and in his sin of disobedience, wanting to be like God, all men died, but Jesus by His obedience to God, the human race was made alive! -1 Corinthians 15:22-

R.C Sproul states it beautifully on -Genesis 3:10- - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORpaBvKcNZk

“The first experience of sin was an awareness of shame, an awareness of guilt, provoking within
the heart of the sinner a profound desire to hide, to find a place where their nakedness of which
they were now ashamed could now be concealed. And dear friends, from that moment to this
human beings have been fugitives from the presence from God, seeking desperately to find a way
to hide. The reason why God’s judgment is upon the human race is because we love the darkness
  rather than the light”.

But dear reader our wonderful Father, holy God poured out his judgment out on Jesus, His son, on the cross, Jesus bore our sin’s, so we can stand before God’s holy throne with our names written in the book of life, we are no longer fugitive from God, but our sins are washed cleaned by the blood of Jesus

-1 john 1:7-  It was for this He called you through His gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. -2 Thessalonians 2:14-

For when you declare with you mouth Jesus is Lord and believe God raised Him from the grave, you will be saved. -Romans 10:9-

Oh what good news this is, oh what wonderful news this is. When we were still sinners Jesus dies for us, we are saved by grace a not by works!

Repent of your sin and ask Jesus to be your Lord and saviour, lay down your life at his feet as he laid down his life for you, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved -Acts 4:22-

Jesus said to his disciples “let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me. for those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?

Dear reader, will you not today confess your sin to God and accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour, will you not lay your life at his feet and be renewed and be assured of your salvation in this life and eternity to come.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. -Philippians 1:21-

Where oh death is your victory, where oh death is your sting.  The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks, be o God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
-1 Corinthians 15:55-57-

The love of God is stronger than the power of death

For Him, Through Him, To him be all Glory forever

Amen.
