Urgent Prayer request: Bombings rock believers in DRC

We’ve had a desperate prayer request from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Believers say they are being targeted by Islamic militants in the city of Beni—and are asking for urgent prayer after a bombing. On June 27, one church was bombed just an hour before families were due to gather for a children’s confirmation service. A second bomb was found and defused at another church in the city. The mayor has instituted a curfew to try to stem the violence. A believer on the ground told us how we can pray. Tap here to listen to Atonisha Kambale*—a believer living in the neighborhood of the bombed church—as he talks about what the situation is like on the ground, and how you can stand with Congolese believers. Democratic Republic of the Congo ranks No. 40 on the 2021 World Watch List. Photo caption: People outside the church after the bomb exploded.
