V4. You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently
We have only command to follow, keep the commandments !
V5. Oh that my ways be steadfast in keeping your commandments
We know how important it is, and what a blessing it is , to keep the Lord's commandments, but we fail , oh how we fail. Thank be for Jesus Christ our mediator !
V6. Then I should not be put to shame , having my eyes fixed on your commandments
Fix your eyes on the Lord's word , Fix your eyes on Jesus , keep from the world's temptation so as not to fall in your sin and stand ashamed before the holy throne
V7. I will praise you with an upright heart , when I learn your righteous ways
When i truly see God's righteousness (Law, Mercy, Power, Love, Holiness) praise will flow from me!
V8. I will keep your statues, do not utterly forsake me
How desperate I am to keep God's command's, terrified that He will forsake me. But it is not He that will forsake me but rather I ! Lord thank you for keeping us and never forsaking us even when we rebel against you.
