Beware of these scams!

A bit unrelated to the usual content, but I fell it is important to let you know about a scam.
I received a text from Hermes the delivery company stating that I have missed a delivery and I should click on the below link to rebook the delivery.
The link to hermes was www.hermes.r354.com , right away I knew this was a scam by the web address name, as I know Hermes website is www.myhermes.co.uk and not what was in the text.
I was curious to see what the scam is all about and opened the link on a test machine (please don't try this at home, I am a professional :-)
The link took me to a website that is indistinguishable from hermes real website , it then asked for my post code , full name and full address and mobile number after entering my (fake) details, it then stated I need to pay £1.45 for hermes to delivery my package , and I should enter my card details and account and sort code (alarm bells!) bear in mind that it all looks kosher.
Obviously I did not provide my bank details, but if I was not vigilant , I could have easily provided these scammers with all my details of them to empty my bank account.
This is very sophisticated and a lot of time and effort has been put in this to fool the unsuspected user.
Please dear reader be very vigilant. You lock your home and your car , do the same for your digital life.
Few point to note.
Never click on links sent to you by text or even by email , from your bank or from any delivery company. Rather do a google search of your banks web address or the delivery companies web address
Don't be fooled, your bank , BT , Microsoft , apple etc will never phone you to let you know there is a problem, hang up the phone and if you are concerned look up the relevant companies contact details on their website and call them .
These scammers are very good at what they do and will use all forms of social engineering to fool you! General rule of thump is to treat every correspondence as suspicious
